COPPER:

This wonderful boy came in as a stray to the Santa Barbara shelter, clearly the victim of people
who don't deserve him.  His lovely long coat was matted in many places, and he hadn't had a
bath in some time, but his sweet soul still shone through.  He passed his assessment with flying
colors -- likes other dogs, ignored the cats he met, was friendly to strangers, didn't mind a hand
stuck in his food bowl, walked nicely on leash.  He knows "sit" and "down" and clearly is a well
trained dog.  He accepted grooming and bathing without a fuss, very tolerant of scissors and
clippers and strangers touching him all over.  He's already neutered, so somebody did care
enough about him once to take proper care of him.  He looks to be about 5-7 years old, and in
good health overall.

Copper is available for adoption through the Santa Barbara shelter at 5473 Overpass Rd. in
Santa Barbara.  For more information call 805-681-5285.  The shelter's adoption fee is $90 --
a steal for such an amazingly wonderful dog! # A301749
